Walking: Hilton Rome Airport and Air Rooms
The Hilton is joined to the terminals by a covered pedestrian tunnel with moving walkways. ADR gives the walk as under 10 minutes, and it runs to T1 and T3 without going outside. No booking or ticket is needed.
Air Rooms is landside in the public area near the terminals. ADR describes it as reachable on foot from the terminals and from the ABCD multi-storey car parks.
The free shuttle to Hilton Garden Inn
The free service to Hilton Garden Inn is run by ADR, not by the hotel: the electric e-shuttle Airport Line operates every day of the year, 24 hours, every 15 minutes. The stop is at T3 arrivals, entrance 3, signed as the Hilton Garden Inn Pick Up Point. Between 09:30 and 18:30, Tuesday to Sunday, every other run also calls at the Museo delle Navi. Hilton gives the hotel as 5 km from the airport.
Paid shuttles: Best Western, Rome Airport Hotel, Mercure
The Best Western charges 8 euros per person each way. From the hotel, departures run at 04:30, 05:00, 06:00, 06:30, 07:00, 07:30, 08:00, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00 and 10:30, then 20:30, 21:15, 22:00 and 22:30. There is no hotel-to-airport run between 10:30 and 20:30. From the airport, 18 departures run between 08:15 and 22:30. The meeting point is the bus station at T3.
Rome Airport Hotel Fiumicino runs its minibus from the airport at fixed times: 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, then every 45 minutes to 22:00, and a last run at 22:30. It cannot be booked from the airport; wait at the stop. From the hotel to the airport it runs on request at reception. The hotel does not publish the fare; booking sites list 10 euros per person.
The Mercure uses the operator Langiano Viaggi, at 7 euros per person each way, from 05:50 to 23:00 every day. Runs from the hotel to the airport must be reserved; runs from the airport need no reservation. The hotel’s timetable sheet is undated, so confirm the first morning departure at reception.
Taxi instead of a shuttle
Taxis wait at the arrivals level of T1 and T3. The Rome fixed fares do not cover these short trips. Instead, ADR sets a minimum fare of 25 euros between the airport and the municipality of Fiumicino, where the four shuttle hotels are. Compare that with the shuttle fares: two people pay 14 to 20 euros one way on a paid shuttle, and four people pay 28 to 40 euros. A metered fare can exceed the minimum.
